The Grand Friday Mosque, the Museum and the official residence of the President are all in the near vicinity.

Villingili Island which is at the Western side of Male’ island is just 5 five minutes by regular ferry from the Northern side of Male. Villingili is a greener island than any other local inhabited island sans motor vehicle. Villingili island has more organized beaching concept within the confines of the local customs is popular among the residents of Male’ in the weekend. It is known as the Nature’s Island giving visitors a glimpse of remote islands’ naturalness. Visitors can take long walks exploring the island peacefully.
